Eirik Blackwolf of Chisuji
Eirik Blackwolf has been with the US Military since leaving High School in 1985 and is currently in Security Forces on Andrews Air Force Base. Long a fan of roleplaying games and comics, he was introduced to manga and anime in 1988 by a friend who was part of his weekend gaming group while in Germany.
The idea of Chisuji sprang from this, starting as a background story for a Champions RPG Eirik ran for that group in 1994. The concept went through many incarnations as back stories for various RPG projects until some of Eirik’s gaming friends suggested it would make a good comic. Thus in 2004, Chisuji was launched as a webcomic.
In summer of 2004 Antarctic Press contacted Eirik with the idea of publishing Chisuji as a small run series in 2005. It has since run in the stores and as of today, Eirik is currently launching a reboot of the website with an artist from Bulgaria going by the handle of ‘Satanasov’. It is their hope that soon they can release a new graphic novel featuring the rebooted storyline.
