About AMA 1/2

What is AMA ½?
AMA ½ is an anime/manga event run by the staff of Anime Mid-Atlantic in conjunction with the VA Comicon.  A much smaller event than the annual Anime Mid-Atlantic convention in June, we will run a Vendors room with artists and a combined panel and screening room.  Guests and other events will be announced soon.  Richmond is the birth place of Anime Mid-Atlantic and we are excited to bring an anime event back to Central Virginia.

Why AMA ½?
The opportunity to run anime/manga event in Richmond, the birth place of Anime Mid-Atlantic, presented itself and we jumped at the chance.

When is AMA ½?
AMA ½ will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011.

Where will AMA ½ be held?
AMA ½ and the VA Comicon will be held at the Crowne Plaza West Hotel Richmond West in Richmond Virginia.  The hotel is just off of Interstate 64 and West Broad Street.  For directions, click here.

How much will it cost to attend AMA ½?
Visit the VA Comicon site for details.  Admission will get attendees into the AMA ½ Vendor Room and panel/screening room.  The admission will also get you into the VA Comicon’s Vendor Room and all of its events.  Two events for much less than the cost of a one-day entry into most anime conventions.

How do I register for AMA ½?
Registration will be handled by the VA Comicon at the event.  Registration will get you into both events.

Can I pre-register for AMA ½?
No.

I am a vendor who wants to purchase table space, are there any tables available?
Vendor table space is extremely limited at AMA 1/2.  Vendors will share the same room as artists.  Vendors can contact us at: amaonehalf@gmail.com.

I am an artist who wants to run an artist table, are there any tables available?

I am interested in running a panel at AMA ½, how can I request to run a panel or workshop?
Panelists wanting to run panels or workshops at AMA ½ should contact us at: amaonehalf@gmail.com.  We cannot offer free admission for panelists.
